[goodrelations] Fw: New RDF recipe for outdoor trips and guided tours

To clarify: Latitude and Longitude no longer exist as separate computational problems in the Public Consciousness, although historically the two computational problems were solved hundreds of years apart.  From an IT perspective, it is wrong to treat navigational software as a legacy (version) problem.  In spite of the resemblance of early cell phones to door stops, for example, the new models are very bad door stops indeed.  Cell Phones will always look like paper weights, but we may not always have paper.  There is sufficient motivation to think differently, I believe.

May I suggest: http://www.rustprivacy.org/2012/toward/

Hi Martin,

As long as you have Latitude and Longitude, it might be well to include Time Zone Offset and Daylight Saving Time (Summer Time) information.  This will enable sunrise and sunset planning, and UV Exposure is a maximum at Solar Noon as well.  The US and Australia both offer public several resources which explain the calculations in detail.

Dear all:

I just added a new recipe to the GoodRelations wiki, showing how one can describe guided tours and trips using GoodRelations, schema.org, and the Tickets Ontology:

Best wishes
