GoodRelations is a standardized vocabulary for product, price, and company data that can (1) be embedded into existing static and dynamic Web pages and that (2) can be processed by other computers. This increases the visibility of your products and services in the latest generation of search engines, recommender systems, and other novel applications.

Hello Robert, great idea! I was recently examining the changes to the new versions of Joomla and Virtuemart, but then decided to keep the hands off until there exist better migration instructions, i.e. sort of a comparison table of deprecated and newly introduced features. I was also looking for existing modules for the combo Virtuemart/Joomla to see how others did the migration, but wasn't successful so far. The nice thing about the current GoodRelations extension is that it uses Django-syntax-based templates for RDFa that are fed with data from the relational database. The templates proved compatible with Google and can be re-used for an extension upgrade. Thus no need to worry about syntactical subtleties of GoodRelations in RDFa. If you need further information I suggest to continue the conversation bilaterally (alex.stolz at ebusiness-unibw.org).
