I was recently examining the changes to the new versions of Joomla and Virtuemart, but then decided to keep the hands off until there exist better migration instructions, i.e. sort of a comparison table of deprecated and newly introduced features. I was also looking for existing modules for the combo Virtuemart/Joomla to see how others did the migration, but wasn't successful so far. The nice thing about the current GoodRelations extension is that it uses Django-syntax-based templates for RDFa that are fed with data from the relational database. The templates proved compatible with Google and can be re-used for an extension upgrade. Thus no need to worry about syntactical subtleties of GoodRelations in RDFa. If you need further information I suggest to continue the conversation bilaterally (alex.stolz at ebusiness-unibw.org). Unfortunately, the extension is temporarily not available from its official location at http://addons.prestashop.com/de/seo/3866-rich-snippets-and-semantic-seo-with-goodrelations.html because the Prestashop marketplace seems to have bug that deletes an existing module whenever you upload a new version. We are already talking to Prestashop to fix this asap (and they typically react to this request swiftly), but it may take a day or so to get this back online. So the extension is mature and will be there in the future, despite the irritating signal that this bug in Presta's marketplace software creates. Unfortunately, they always seem to disable downloads whenever they received a new version. Strange and sad, but solved for now. The module is available here: http://code.google.com/p/semantic-seo-for-xt-commerce/ It should take only about 15 minutes to get this up and running, so this is by far the simplest way of adding GoodRelations support to a shop running on xt:Commerce. With ca. 100,000 installations, xt:Commerce is one of the most popular shop applications world-wide. Kudos to Kevin Siegerth for implementing this! Please spread the word to site-owners running xt:Commerce/Veyton!
